Picnic Spots in West Bengal

As winter approaches we start getting restless for our long awaited picnic. During these time everywhere you go you find people discussing amongst themselves on where to go for picnic this year. I have personally been to many many picnics since childhood and still enjoying going to picnics. I am writing about few picnic-spots in South 24 Pgs where you can go in the morning spend a quality day out with your friends and family and get back home by evening feeling tired but content.

4. Inji Garden - Two kilometers before reaching Baruipur there is a aesthetically landscaped picnic garden called Inji Garden. The beautifully landscaped garden if often let out for film and serial shooting. On the bank of the mighty river Ganges Diamond Harbour is a very well known and famous picnic spot and hub of commercial fishing. You can also opt to hire a accommodation for your picnics from the various resort and hotels in the area.  Ruins of an old English fort is another attraction of this place in addition to the marvelous view of the river Ganges just before she meets the Ocean few kilometers ahead.  Hotel Punnalaxmi is a new and beautiful place to spend the day.

7. Achipur - Run and managed by 'Pujali Municipal Corporation ' , you will find a beautiful country house amidst dense greenery just beside the river bank. 8. Falta , Nurpur , and Nainan - These places offer a nice view of the Ganges and surrounded by trees will mesmerize you and everyone else. There are options of joyride on the gentle waves of the river on a country made boat  makes these places special and tempting. All these three places are approximately around 51 kilometers from Kolkata and is well connected by road, and railways.
