Valentine's Day is that special day that makes lovers all across the globe feel the fragrance of love and passion more intensely. It is this time of the year that the spirit of romance is at its fullest swing and the flame of love tends to illuminate the world with lovely colors, spread the warmth in the air all around. Not much is exactly known about the history and origin of the Valentine's Day, although there are different believes and various schools of thoughts . There were actually several interpretation regarding the history and origin of Valentine's Day. While according to some the Valentine's Day celebration calls for the pagan tradition during the third century, the Europeans, on the other hand, believed that birds began to choose their mates on February 14th. Can you believe? my wife does not believe in sending cards. I could not convince her even after telling her of Stephen and Glynis Woolner. This couple has been sending each other the same card on Christmas for the last 29 years. Can you believe it? It all started sometime around 1978 when Glynis sent Stephen a card he returned the same card as a joke and she repeated it with sending it back with new message and this is continuing every year with a new message for the last 29 yrs. Now they have had to glue additional sheets to write new messages . And Glynis says she would reject a new card and insists on having the old card again and again in future also.

All of us has received many cards in his her life time, I too have received many more than I can safely keep. These cards have a lot to say. This year while cleaning for my diwali I found a set of cards and few letters from my first girl friend. I just Read each card all over again and again wishing very dearly for a chance to turn back the time even if its for a short while,to be with her wish her and HUG HER. I am married now But i still desire to meet her once.. Hope I will be able to someday. If she by chance breezes through this blog then For Her " I still care for you. Be happy"
