The Spirit of Christmas Celebration
Christmas is one of the most celebrated events of Christians all across the world. Celebrated in the commemoration of the auspicious birth of Lord Jesus in various ways, Christmas is the annual holiday in many nations. Each year over 400 millions of people all over the world celebrate Christmas with great pomp and show. This makes Christmas one of the biggest religious festivities of the world. All state governments, the federal government, schools & colleges & universities in United States of America give their employees a leave of a couple of days during this festive season. The vast majority of businesses in US are kept closed during this time. As per the Roman Catholic calendar Christmas is one of the six holy feast days that are celebrated in US, while the others being All Saints, Circumcision, Immaculate Conception, Mary's assumption into heaven and Ascension.
Among the most remarkable activities of the festive, gifts exchanging is worth mentioning. The tradition of seems to have associated with this occasion since the time when the three wise men (the Magi) came to Jesus with their very unique gifts. As per the Bible's book of Matthew, "On coming to the house they saw the child with his mother Mary and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh".
Although Christmas is hugely celebrated on December 25th every year, it is not exactly known as to why this particular date has been associated with birth of Jesus. The Old Testament actually has no mention about the specific date of the event. However, the world gets adorned with new shades and hues. Surroundings tend to get a glorious look with the razzle-dazzle glow of neon and decorative lamps. People usually take total reprieve from their daily business schedule and freak out to party with lots of yummy Christmas dishes and drinks.
While the winter chill tends to be at its peak, the market tends to be waved by a huge collection of Christmas costumes to satisfy the sky touching demand of the fashionable section of the society. Whether it’s an elf Christmas dress or the Imperial Santa Clause suit, the demand for new designs always seems to looking up.
People tend to make the most of the Christmas holidays either by enjoying special Christmas burgers and cakes or by freaking out for a Christmas vacationing or by throwing parties. However, Walt Disney World is one of the perfect spot for spending a memorable Christmas vacation, although loads of other pockets are there as well. The enticing beauty of Orlando, Florida also attracts hugely crowd during Christmas. “North Pole”, which is just north of Lake Placid in NY is another great choice of the Christmas vacationers.
Whatever way they want to celebrate Christmas, whatever the Christmas fashion in vogue may be, it is beyond all controversies that the true fun of celebration lies in planning. What to do, where to go and how to party.
