Himalaya - The Mighty Himalaya

Himalaya or the abode of Snow is the newest mountain range that has all of the planets above 8000 meters peaks and more than hundred peaks taller than 7200 meters . Formed from the collision of Indian Tectonic plate with the Eurasian Plate this range stretches from North east to South east in an arc measuring 2400 Kilimeters (Spanning five countries, India, Nepal,Bhutan,Pakistan and China)

River Beas

River Beas also know as 'Vipasha' in Sanskrit and Veda Vyas as the presiding Patron originates from Himalayas in central Himachal Pradesh, Flows for 470 KMs and reaches River Sutlej in Punjab.
The river flows along the route to Manali from Shimla during its journey of 290 Miles to meet Sutlej. The riverbasin of River Beas is around 20303 square kilometers. Few shots taken of the river Beas while my tour of Shimla and Manali.
This river marks the extent to which Alexander The Great could conquer of India during his Campaign of 326 BC.

TheAlipore Zoological Gardens (also informally called the Alipore Zoo, Calcutta Zoo or Kolkata Zoo) is India's oldest formally statedzoological park(as opposed to royal and British menageries) and a big tourist attraction inKolkata,West Bengal. It has been open as a zoo since 1876, and covers 18.81 ha (46.5 acres)

Amar Jawan Jyoti - Tomb of the Unknown Soldier


Following the Bangladesh Liberation War A small Simple Black Marble Plinth with an Upturned Rifle Capped with a war helmet and surrounded by four eternal flame (CNG is used to keep the flame burning)  is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Built under India Gate This eternal flame was inaugurated in 1972 to commemorate the Indian Soldiers who laid down their lives for the service of their motherland.
